When the Worst Happens, You're Ready
We design and manage backup and disaster recovery programs that meet your RTO and RPO targets — with tested runbooks, not just theoretical plans that fail when you need them most.
Backup & DR
- Managed Backup
- DR Runbook Development
- Cloud DR Implementation
- DR Testing
Automated Backup Management
We implement and manage backup programs across your servers, cloud workloads, databases, and SaaS applications — with regular restore tests to confirm recoverability.
Get Started- 3-2-1 backup strategy: 3 copies, 2 media, 1 offsite
- Server and VM backup with Veeam and Azure Backup
- Database backup with PITR (point-in-time recovery)
- SaaS backup for Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Google Workspace
- Regular restore tests to validate backup integrity
Disaster Recovery Planning
A DR plan that's never been tested is a plan that won't work. We document, test, and maintain your DR procedures annually.
Get Started- Business Impact Analysis (BIA) defining RTO and RPO targets
- DR runbook documentation for all critical systems
- Annual DR test with documented results and gap remediation
- DR site selection: cloud-based, co-location, or hybrid
- Communication plan and escalation matrix
Cloud Disaster Recovery
Cloud DR offers on-demand recovery infrastructure without the cost of maintaining a standby data center. We implement cost-effective cloud DR using AWS or Azure.
Get Started- AWS CloudEndure and Azure Site Recovery implementation
- Warm standby and pilot light DR architectures
- Cross-region replication for geo-redundancy
- Automated failover and failback procedures
- DR runbook automation reducing human error during recovery
Business Continuity Planning
DR covers the technical recovery — BCP covers how the business keeps operating during and after an incident. We help document both.
Get Started- Business continuity plan (BCP) documentation
- Vendor and supply chain dependency mapping
- Alternate work location and remote access planning
- Communication templates for incidents and outages
- Executive tabletop exercises for BCP validation
What We Deliver
A comprehensive set of Backup & DR capabilities, designed to work together or independently.
Managed Backup
Veeam and cloud-native backup management with daily monitoring and restore testing.
DR Runbook Development
Documented, tested recovery procedures for every critical system.
Cloud DR Implementation
AWS and Azure-based disaster recovery with automated failover.
DR Testing
Annual DR tests with documented results and gap remediation plans.
BCP Documentation
Business continuity plan covering operations, communication, and vendor dependencies.
Incident Response
Emergency recovery support when a real disaster strikes.
Most environments achieve 4-hour or better recovery time objectives with cloud DR.
Hourly backup schedules and log shipping deliver sub-1-hour recovery point objectives.
Every DR plan tested at least annually — not just documented and forgotten.
Why Choose InnovTen
We don't just deliver projects. We build partnerships that drive long-term outcomes.
Actually Tested
DR runbooks tested annually — we find the gaps before a real incident does.
Cloud DR Cost Efficiency
Pay for recovery infrastructure only when you use it — not a full standby data center.
Compliance Coverage
DR and backup documentation satisfying SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and cyber insurance requirements.
Business-Aligned RTO/RPO
Recovery targets defined by business impact — not arbitrary IT defaults.
Rapid Recovery
Tested runbooks and automated failover enabling fast recovery when every minute counts.
Backup Monitoring
Daily backup success monitoring with alerts on failures — before you need the backup.
Our Delivery Process
How we approach every Backup & DR engagement, from first call to ongoing operations.
BIA & Requirements
Business Impact Analysis to define RTO/RPO targets for each critical system and workload.
Architecture Design
Design backup strategy and DR architecture aligned to RTO/RPO requirements and budget.
Implementation
Deploy backup software, configure cloud DR replication, and implement monitoring.
Runbook Development
Document step-by-step recovery procedures for all critical systems with role assignments.
Test & Maintain
Annual DR test, backup restore validation, and plan updates as infrastructure evolves.

Backup & DR in Action
Real-world applications across industries we've delivered for.
Ransomware Recovery
Recovered from ransomware in 6 hours using Veeam backups — preventing weeks of downtime and $500k+ in ransom.
Cloud DR for Legacy ERP
Azure Site Recovery for on-premises ERP — cutting DR cost from $200k/year (standby DC) to $18k/year.
Microsoft 365 Backup
Implemented SaaS backup for 300-user Microsoft 365 environment — enabling granular email and SharePoint recovery.
Annual DR Test Program
Annual tabletop and live DR tests for 15 critical systems — required for cyber insurance and SOC 2 compliance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our Backup & DR services.
Yes. Microsoft's responsibility is infrastructure availability — they don't protect against accidental deletion, ransomware encryption of your data, or mailbox data retention beyond their recycle bin periods. Third-party backup (Veeam, Datto, Acronis) is essential for granular recovery of emails, SharePoint files, and Teams data.
RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is how long you can be down — how quickly you need to be back up. RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is how much data loss you can tolerate — how old the recovered data can be. Lower RTO/RPO requires more infrastructure and costs more; we help you right-size both.
At minimum annually, and after any significant infrastructure change. Cyber insurance policies increasingly require documented annual DR tests. We manage the full test cycle — planning, execution, documentation of results, and gap remediation.
3-2-1 means: 3 copies of your data, on 2 different media types, with 1 copy offsite. For example: primary data on your server, a local backup on NAS, and a cloud backup in Azure. This ensures no single failure can destroy all your data.
